Ampelopsis glandulosa maximowiczii
Porcelain Vine
Ampelopsis glandulosa maximowiczii is a beautiful climbing plant, especially when allowed to ramble up an old tree / shrub or up trellis. In a moist, fertile soil amidst of a sunny area, it can easily grow up to 5 m.
It is a rare, deciduous climber with inconspicuous summer flowers but distinctive large, purple / blue fruit in autumn and beautiful dark green, lobed leaves. The masses of colourful fruit are really eye-catching, but not edible.
